FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What can I submit to Journeys?
Short stories, poems, scripts, photography, art, comic strips, ceramics- you name it! We accept anything that can be submitted virtually, scans and photographs of works are welcome! Find more information on the "How to Submit" tab.
2. Do I have to attend CVHS to submit pieces?
Yes, you currently have to be attending Crescenta Valley High School in order to submit any artwork or literary pieces.
3. Is there a theme that I should adhere to in my submission?
Our theme this year has not been decided yet but anything is welcome.
4. When is my deadline to submit?
The deadline is at the end of March.
5. Can I get extra credit for submitting?
Tons of english and art teachers give extra credit for submitting to Journeys; just ask them!
6. How do I submit?
Please refer to our submissions guidelines under the tab "How to Submit".
7. How do I know if my submission got accepted or not?
We will notify you accordingly by email.
8. What do Journeys Editors do?
We take the time to read a couple of pieces each week and aggressively discuss if the literary or art piece is a proper fit for our magazine. Trust me, we enjoy reading all of your submissions, and take each submission we receive seriously.
9. That sounds interesting! How do I become an awesome Journeys editor?
Make sure you look out for the applications at the beginning of the school year during Club Expo and for the announcements on CVTV! Find more information under the editor application tab.
10. Alright, so then how do I buy a copy of Journeys?
Our 2020-2021 issue will be published to viewers for free through an online medium, called "ISSUU." This publishing company also has an IOS and Android App.
